Subject: DeaDBeeF packages
Hi,

Is it possible for dmo to package deadbeef player? [1] There were some
attempts to package it for Debian main repository, but they ended with
nothing. [2]

Mostly the problem is unclear licensing of some really old components.
Also deadbeef includes a lot of bundled libraries from 3rd party
projects. But those bundles are heavily modified for deadbeef needs
and must be considered not as stand alone libs, but as part of player.
Author's position and details can be found at [3].

Personally, I've been packaging deadbeef for myself and friends for
some time. Also there are several Ubuntu PPA's with deadbeef packages.
So there won't be a big problem with packaging.
