You will need the option „--syslog <facility name>”. With this name you
should be able to configure the log daemon to save the mythtv files in
/var/log/mythtv. Maybe you can expand the postinst script to put
a snipplet in /etc/rsyslog.d if this log daemon is used? If yes, then
install the logrotate snipplet as well, if not, then not? A debconf
question about the facility name?
