Backend with PVR-150 crashing with 0.26, fixed with 0.27

After upgrading my MythTV backend to 0.26 on Wheezy, I experienced
constant crashing of the backend. It would crash on about 50% of the
recordings, always at the very beginning of the recording. The frontend
would show the recording as available, but the size showed as 0.0 GB.

I upgraded to 0.27 using the wheezy-backports repository, and my
crashing problems have gone away. It's been a week with no crashing,
which I never experienced with 0.26.

Anyway, just reporting this in case anybody else is having trouble with
0.26.
