Upgrage mythtv from stable to 0.27

Hello,

I am using deb-multimedia repository in a Debian stable machine.
Actually I am in 0.26 mythtv version, but I want to upgrade to 0.27.

How do you recommend to upgrade? Upgrade from stable to testing? backports?

I want to know your experience about upgrades. I use mythtv everyday,
so I don't want to break anything.

I have a dedicated backend and 2 frontends.
