XBMC and xorg-nouveau Driver VDPAU

Hello,

I am evaluating the xorg-nouveau driver as a replacement for the
non-free NVIDIA driver.
I am testing this on the jessie release (debian + deb-multimedia)

I have MythTV frontend working with full VDPAU acceleration.
Looks promising here.

On XBMC, I get a blank/dark screen with audio/subtitles with VDPAU turned on.
(Everything is fine with VDPAU turned off)

Does anyone have nouveau+xbmc+vdpau working on their Debian XBMC system?
Or am I on the absolute bleeding edge?

I can provide package lineups and logs if there is interest.
