That's what I thought when i saw it - DELETE followed by INSERT = UPDATE
(or 'REPLACE INTO'). I just copied exactly what they did and ignored my
urge to improve things.

Sorry, nope. I've had no problems with the frontend since the upgrade to 29.
Is that a complete hang of the entire system? or just mythfrontend?
just a wild guess - maybe they're using VDPAU slightly differently
which interacts badly with your video card and driver. what kind of
GPU, and what driver? I'm using a GTX-750 on my main myth box with
nvidia-kernel-dkms 375.82-1
