You might find more expertise on the mythtv lists rather than on dmo.

I've not seen this, but as a wild guess: Do you have the database host
set to the old IP in one of /etc/mythtv/config.xml or
/etc/mythtv/mysql.txt (or their equivs in some home directory) maybe?
