If your read the packaging changelog in /usr/share/doc/<package>/changelog.Debian.gz
If you are using systemd I think the change in 0.27.3+fixes20141007-dmo1
is the guilty. Then remove this file /lib/systemd/system/mythtv-backend.service
Fixed (file removed) for the next upload.
