Re: Problems starting mythbackend

Sorry for the last mail, I send without finish it.

I back to stable kernel:

# uname -a
Linux mitxetv 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt11-1+deb8u6
(2015-11-09) x86_64 GNU/Linux

And still happens same problem:

# /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend start
[....] Starting mythtv-backend (via systemctl):
mythtv-backend.serviceJob for mythtv-backend.service failed. See
'systemctl status mythtv-backend.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for
details.
failed!

# ls -lha /var/run/mythtv/
total 0
drw-r-xr-x 2 mythtv root 40 Nov 21 12:35 .
drwxr-xr-x 24 root root 860 Nov 21 12:35 ..

If I change the folder permissions it works in both kernels:

# chmod 777 /var/run/mythtv/

So it is not related to the kernel. I am using this mythbackend version:

# mythbackend --version
