update to mythtv - what's the process

I've just started using mythtv on Debian using DMO. I still have an
old backend that is still on Ubuntu. I just noticed that mythtv
received an update over night. DMO did not.

What is the process for updates to be applied to mythtv in DMO? Is it
request based or are updates run on a schedule?

The bug I saw fixed this morning wasn't affecting me but it made me curious.
