HDHomerun_config not working on trixie

I thought I'd test out the dmo-multimedia version of mythtv v35 on Trixie.

I got it all installed and started configuring mythtv and it could not
find my HDHomerun tuners as it does on V35 on bookworm.

I've found that hdhomerun-config is a trixie main package but
something is causing the command:

hdhomerun_config discover

to not find any devices.

Anyone seeing this and have a solution?
